Jennifer transformed her own body from being broken down back into a dancer’s body after her own struggles with being a super mom striving to succeed and neglecting her health and body simply due to the time constraints and high pressure environment of her career and family life. After the birth of her third child, Jennifer suffered from Carpal tunnel syndrome and trigger finger in both hands, muscle atrophy, high blood pressure, and weak knees. She had the carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery on her right hand and spent weeks recovering and in disbelief that her body was in such a state, she vowed then to not have to go through the same surgery and recovery period with the left hand and started to repair her own body through increasing her synovial fluids to those pain areas through movement and increase in water intake. Jennifer is now inspired to share her restorative success with others and offers a Dance 4 Life class at her studio that teaches these restorative movement techniques.

Dance 4 Life Class - Inspired by dance technique and training, this class consists of stretching and movement geared towards isolating specific muscles in order to awaken and strengthen weak areas. Class sizes are usually under 15 students so that the lesson can be tailored to individual student's needs. All classes will work on centering your body (working on finding your core and balance) and you should leave feeling aligned and reset. Specifically, we focus on harnessing the energy within and around our bodies and use breath and relaxation methods to open the weak areas in our bodies for movement and strengthening. Once we have opened our bodies for the movement, we will work through very basic alignment exercises that encourage moving through the most direct and proper muscular path as a means to train our bodies to build proper muscle memory to build strength in areas that prevent injury or restore broken muscular paths. Then we progress our bodies through the space and across the dance floor through various fun and empowering dance combinations.
